This ministry is currently led by a team of four people; Pearl, Sia, Ciska and Tim. They are assisted by a number of mothers and youth helpers on a rostered basis. The activities run during school terms, based at the 10am service, for children aged 3 to 13 years. The children join the opening worship and then go to their activities, returning to the church service for Communion.
Children's Story Time is one of several choices that children at the After School Programme (described under the Facilities section) can choose to attend. This is a fun and interactive story time for children, ages 5-10 years, for 40 mins every Wednesday during the school term.
St Michael’s Diversity continues to live up to its name with at least nine different cultures represented. There is an average of 20 youth who attend each Friday evening 7 – 9 pm with about a total of 27 youth membership. The group has grown up together and now half of the number that are 18+ still attend. We have prayed and tried to split the group into Young Adults and Diversity but God has kept us together at this time. We are a very close group who keep each other accountable to Jesus teachings. We praise God for the numerical and spiritual growth of the group.
Carol Banks, Amogh Ranade and Damian Stephen are the leaders who have the privilege of running this group. They are all volunteers. Diversity really enjoys Amogh’s tougher teachings and Damian’s interactive games!!! All the leaders attended The Abbey Youth Conference 2016, which helped galvanise the leadership team, refreshing them and growing spiritually.
