ST MICHAELS is an EVANGELICAL ANGLICAN CHURCH. What does that mean?
It means we are in the Evangelical tradition of the Anglican Church: We believe that the Bible is the true word of God, "of whose authority was never any doubt in the Church" (a quote from the 39 Articles, the original 16thC statement of Anglican policy) The study of the Bible's teachings makes up a major part of our services of worship.
We belong to the Anglican Mainstream grouping and support its policies.
In worship style we can ranging from quiet to highly musical, from ancient to contemporary, from the formal to the expressive. We aim to express reverence and love for Jesus Christ through - and each style identifiably linked to the Anglican heritage.
