About Us

Our Vision
To grow a family of thriving and enthusiastic communities in which people of all ages and all cultures wholeheartedly love, serve and obey Jesus Christ

The Anglican Parish of Henderson

The Anglican Parish of Henderson, comprises two churches, St Michael and All Angels known as St Michael’s, close to the commercial centre of Henderson, and St Mark’s, in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges at Swanson.
We are a multicultural community with people having joined us from all over the world. We value our relationships, friendships, the sense of family and fellowship based upon relationships with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We seek to support each other in our daily Christian lives and provide a welcoming place for visitors, newcomers and those coming to learn about the Christian faith.
We have a rich history and give thanks for belonging to the Henderson Parish.
The Parish saw a reduction in numbers in 2014. This impacted activities such as home groups, fellowship groups for young adults and young families, healing services, community outreach and evangelism. As outlined in “Priorities for the Next Five Years” of the Consultation transcript, there is a strong desire to recover these aspects of Parish life.

Our Worship is relevant to each age & culture

We believe that the content of Christian worship is an unchangeable, wholehearted focus on Jesus Christ. We also believe that the style of Christian worship can and should change to make it relevant to each age & culture. So we offer a range of distinctive worship styles to meet these needs
